Resources for Chairpersons

FCIS Accreditation is the hallmark of a Florida independent school. The evaluation process provides schools with an opportunity to examine their programs in detail every five years. Based on this comprehensive process, schools strengthen, plan, grow and restructure their programs to better serve Florida students and families.

During an accreditation visit, the role of the Evaluation Committee Chairperson is of utmost importance. As the primary leader, the Chair is responsible for coordinating logistics of the evaluation, preparing the team for the evaluation, managing the team, overseeing the draft of the final report and providing feedback to the Accreditation Commission regarding the team's recommendation.
