Alexander Montessori School was established
in 1963 by Beverley A. McGhee to ensure her own children would have an
excellent beginning.She decided to base
the school upon the Montessori Method. Her teachers share her dedication to providing a quality, caring
educational environment for children.Alexander Montessori School hasgrown from a single kindergarten class into four campuses; one for
children ages two to six, one for ages 18 months to six, one for ages three to
six, and a six-acre elementary campus for children ages six to twelve. The school follows Dr. Maria Montessori’s
philosophy. Our task is to aid children
in their work of self-creation; to help them become independent learners and
thinkers.
